The season of newness is here! We’re letting ourselves get carried away by the spirit of spring, and we’ve got some ideas to help you make the most of this moment too. Today we’re focusing on outdoor spaces as – it’s about time we got outside!
Once the spring cleaning is done (we highly recommend the book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying by Marie Kondo. It’s a refreshingly simple and powerful way to sort out the decluttering, once and for all!), why not reward your efforts with a little spruce up? You could try a new colour of paint: we’re loving the grey walls above. Although grey isn’t a colour you’d ordinarily associate with spring, it’s a great backdrop for the accents of nature and graphic upholstery and rugs.
Perhaps you’ll restore a favourite piece of furniture, giving it a new lease of life in a brand new colour. We’re loving the yellow piece above right, and how the yellow is carried through in the soft furnishings.
And for the indoors, doing something as simple as, changing the colour scheme of your cushions, can go a long way to brightening up your home! Shop the cushions above here (more colours and designs available).
These crafty ideas are another excuse to spend more time outside (as if you needed one). Why not grow your own herbs or salad vegetables this year? Not much space? Not to worry. Why not try this vertical salad garden?
Or how about this alternative way to adore succulents, in a living picture frame.
And finally, why not bring a little bit of the outdoors in, by making your own terrarium?
When all the hard work is done, take a (long) moment to lay back and appreciate the results of your labour. But first, create a beautiful space to do so! We’re especially loving the Lamu space above right.
